The Simtechnik Collimator is taking the picture from the flight simulator is projecting via an complex mirror system this picture as a 3D projection. The mirror we use for this are from very high quality and have a sperical shape. The client can choose the size of the collimator according his needs for his personal flight simulator. The effect for the customer can be described like that: The difference between the LCD screen and the collimator is, that the player is sees the landscape like trough a window. By doing that he can move his head without loosing the landscape. That means: when the head is moved upwards by 4inches accordingly he sees more of the ground in the flight sim landscape. The more channel the client is using the betther is the effect. For best view we use 4 channels. There you have ultimate surround view.

The 3D effect can be impressively seen when you fly over buildings and towers. You really have the feeling of hitting this objects.
